The most frequently asked questions.

Where are you located and how far does your team travel?

This is one of the most asked questions. We are located in Montreal and we have a fairly large zone in which we can travel. We go north to St-Jérôme/Prévost, east to Joliette, south to Granby and west to Vaudreuil/Valleyfield. We do not charge for our travel in this area. Si vous habitez en dehors de cette zone, un petit supplément sera ajouté pour la distance supplémentaire.

How long does the animation last on average?

There are 2 main options for animations at home. 30 mins and 1 hour. The animations will last approximately for this period of time plus or minus a few minutes. You can book for longer times but please contact us first for pricing and options.

At what age can my child really start enjoying the entertainment?
Usually ages 3 and up, but with some of our characters and animations geared towards younger kids, 2 years of age would be ok if they have older children or siblings to follow.

What can I expect from a visit from one of your characters?
You can expect the most realistic costumes and the most professional animators in the industry. You can expect activities that the kids will love and keep their attention for the duration. You can visit our "Character and Pricing" page for more details on each character's animations. You'll also have amazing photo opportunities that will last a lifetime.

How many children can comfortably be animated by a single character?
12 to 15 children is usually the maximum that can be comfortably led by an animator. If there are more than 15 children, we recommend that you add a second character, or the animator will need the help of the adults present in certain circumstances. There will also be a little increase of 4$ in the price of the animation for every child over 20 children if you chose only one animator, as the animator will need to bring more presents, posters and coloring sheets for each child. If you chose two charcters then there is no increase in price for over 20 children as you are paying for two characters.

Can I reserve two or more characters for an event?

Of course, we love to do multiple characters in a single event, and we tailor the animation so that all the characters are heavily involved and that there are activities to suit each character present.

Can I request certain activities or have the animation personalized?
If it is a request that can be adapted to the animation, it would be our pleasure. We're often asked if the character can be there for the birthday cake presentation, and we love to help. Let us know in advance. If you make a request when the host arrives, it may not be possible to do a specific request. Our animators have very tight schedules, especially on weekends, because they have several animations per day. They need to prepare their animations days in advance, so we may not be able to customize the animation if the request is done on the same day. But when we can, we always do.

How far in advance do I need to book to make sure the character I want is available for my event?
This is probably the most frequently asked question. There is no real answer as it is impossible to answer as it depends on availability and your flexibility. If you want a certain character at a specific time and date, please book as early as possible. We have reservations months in advance. If you are more flexible about the time and/or date, generally a month ahead is usually good. This is not to say that if you book the same week of your event that there will be no availability, every week is very different for us and there may be gaps in the schedule and we might still be able to book your character. We do everything we can to bring our magic to anyone who requests our services, but we also have to decline some last minute requests due to availability. The short answer, then, is to book as soon as possible.

When the host has started their animation, can I just go into the kitchen with my friends and let them take care of the kids for an hour?
Our animators are the most professional in the industry, with years of experience and can handle any situation. But every now and then (extremely rare) we come across children determined to destroy the magic for the other children present, screaming, being aggressive and just trying to be the center of attention. Our pros know how to handle this, but under no circumstances will they accept continued verbal or physical abuse from a child or adult. They are professional animators, not babysitters. The answer to the question is yes, the animator can usually be left alone with the children, but it is up to the adults present to ensure that any child who causes problems respects the animator(s).

How much space is needed for the animation?
Our animators adapt their activities on site to the size of the room they have. Depending on the number of children, this can usually be done in any room. They do, however, need some space and if you are doing this in the living room for example, please remove the table if there is one, or any object that you think would make it easier for the activities

Can the animations also take place outside?

Of course, we love to do outdoor animations. But if you are booking and intend to do the animation outside, there are a few factors to consider. We do not allow cancellations based on the weather, except with prior agreement. You will lose your deposit if you cancel due to the weather. So please have a back-up plan in case of rain or bad weather. If our animator has already set up outside and starts to animate and it starts to rain, they will not have time to put everything back in place inside and restart, not to mention that our animators sometimes come with thousands of dollars in props, activities, banners, costumes and other accessories and rain will damage a lot of these items. Everyone is hoping that their day will be sunny, as do we, but extreme heat can be extremely dangerous for our mascot wearing animators. If the heat is over 35 degrees with the Humidex, they have our permission to shorten the animation by 10 minutes, as it can be dangerously hot in the costumes, even with a cold vest. So if it is an unusually hot day please provide shade, or consider doing it inside where there is air conditioning. We love to have events outside, in the spring, summer and fall most of our events are outdoors, but be aware of the rain and extreme heat.

What is the cancellation policy?

When making your reservation, we ask for a deposit. This deposit is not refundable, but if you cancel 72 hours before your event, you will retain a credit for the deposit amount for any future animation you wish to book. Unlike most of our competitors, you don't lose your deposit, you keep it as a credit.

Thank you
